Works of Art, works of love!

There are many talented artists that reside in our Valley. Featured here is JR Johansan from Huntsville. His exhibit just ended entitled "Angels Among Us" is a gallery of portraits he did in chalks about people who are or were suffering from terminal illnesses. He asked if he could do one of my neice Lucy who has SMA. Opening night he invited all of the families of whom he painted portraits, most now whom their loved one has passed away already. We represented Lucy's family since most everyone was already in California to be with Lucy for Christmas. It was beautiful and awe inspiring to see these beautiful works of art alongside with short bio's of each person, and to see the families whose loved ones passed away, and meet those that are still fighting to stay alive, some in remission from cancer. He did these portraits for free!
N Notice the little bald toddler with the binki and pink tutu, and then on the other side of Lucy is a young woman that was featured in the NEW ERA months back.

Zach's and Jonny's wrestling team won the traveling Wrestling Tourament Trophy again for the 2nd year in a row.

What a neat story! My heart aches every time I hear about little Lucy. What a little angel. My mom and sisters and I are moving forward, taking one day at a time. Certain days are more difficult than others. My Dad's birthday is February 27th. That is going to be a difficult day. We are all getting together at Kristi's house that weekend to help my mom get through that difficult time. Give your Dad a big hug next time you see him. I would give anything to be able to do that again. It sounds like your family is doing good. Keep in touch!
