Soap Box Derby race 2010

SO Wes informed me Tuesday that the boys had soap box derby race at pack meeting the next day. The mercantile store had already closed so they went dumpster diving in the back of Subway and brought home LOTs of cardboard- To say the least it was a long night-but worth it don't ya think? Zac has a .....? I don't know what kind of car it was-we got a picture from a blog from a blog etc. Somebody made miniature cars out of a old museum ride cars and he liked that one the best. Zac and I have some pretty major wounds from cutting the duct tape for the grill. Cameron's ride was a VW Bug-
I don't think hot pink would have been his first choice but that was the only full can of spray paint we had lying around the house.

THey had a blast!-It was fun to see them have fun!

The many faces of Ethan

Spring Break?!!

Well, Spring Break was more of a Christmas vacation-because of well, lots and lots of snow, and then spending time with Family and Friends. Kim came down with her kids from Vegas where we met up with them at Selena's. Mattie Rae was there and we had a blast at Rock Band until the little kiddo's took over. Selena and Shawn were gracious in letting 14 little rascals run amuk. We appreciate them hosting The Buena Vista Babes from Rick's College Days.
Kim left for a couple of days to be with her sister in Idaho that just had a baby so we took on a couple extra boys. They had a blast doing-well, boy stuff. I took the whole crew to Chuck E Cheese's on Friday where the kids could spend tokens as fast as eating candy. They were somewhat enthralled with one game that I later found out was not really a game, but you have to hold on to these two metal bars while they put electrical currents through your body. Oopps-they seemed alright when we left-hopefully no long term side effects. Nana and PawPaw came and helped me with the chaos-thanks. Because of all the fresh powder I decided to take them on the hill behind our house with the four wheeler and go sledding.

Jacob took pretty fast to the snowboard-and Ryan had a few good runs on the sled before he got cold(Probably a little hard to adjust to this Utah weather after growing up in Vegas)

Friday afternoon after we got back from Chuck E Cheese- Crystal, Colby, and Beckam came over. The kids had fun painting eggs with their cousin and vying for attention from him. Saturday they had an egg hunt and then we all left to Kevin and Nat's house for Maddy's Birthday Party. We met up with my mom and dad who just flew in from Cherisse's, Grandma Childers who just returned from the Tahitian missionary reunion, Angela, Ryan, and Alisa and Scott. Natalie made YUMMY dinner and dessert-the men went to priesthood session of Conference and then we came back to our house with half of the crew. We enjoyed a great Easter morn, topped off with great spiritual feasting of General Conference and then a physical feasting of ham, potatoes and other fixins. Nana and Pawpaw brought Uncle Todd who just flew in from Alabama to have a job interview in Pocatello and so we got to say Hi for a sec and then he and Ashley had to hurry away. Monday I took the kids shopping and then we met up with Wes after work to go watch To Train a Dragon-Cute movie by the way.......................Breathe...............and now the kids are back in school and I'm back to getting a little sewing done here and there to get ready for our recital in a few months. Amidst the chaos and hub bub I hope that I felt a glimpse of the reason for the Easter season. I am grateful for our Savior Jesus Christ, and for his atoning sacrifice-that through him we can be made clean, and after our resurrection, return to live with him again. I know HE LIVES, He loves me, and I love Him!
